Too Short

Another true quote. Harry Potter, seven books long, was too short. The Fever series is five books long with a spin-off series started, but it is too short.

All I can really say is the Epics are always too short for my liking. A good book is like a piece of your heart. You read it. You cherish it. You take a little of it with you everywhere you go for the rest of your life and leave a little of you behind in between its pages. When those kind of stories come to a close, they leave you stuck for a while, lost and wondering, "What now?" Here I am, still missing Mac and Barrons from the Fever series, seriously contemplating reading them again so soon. But I won't. I'll let it settle first, read my thousands of other stories, then come back when I think I've forgotten some details and reread the adventure. The second time around you always find things you didn't know, learn stuff you overlooked the first time around.

I only hope that one day I will write an Epic. That when someone finishes one of my books, they will feel as despairingly alone as I felt having to return those Fever books to the library, when I finish the Harry Potter series every December.
