An Epic

The final in the Fever series. I can't put it down. This is that kind of series that, once you finish it, you are a lost, lonely, soul, heartbroken that something so epic has come to a close. The kind of story that leaves you floundering once it is through, wondering where you are supposed to go now, what you're supposed to do now. A story that never leaves you, follows you around in your regular day, haunting your every move, shadowing your every step.  This, right here, is the kind of series that every good bookworm searches for, poring over shelves and shelves of novels and voices, waiting for that gentle whisper, that sweet tickle of fancy to call out for attention. There are in-between books, and there are Epic books. This is the latter. The in-between books are the ones that catch our attention and fill our time until that moment when we find an Epic. In-betweens are interesting, entertaining, but fleeting in our lives. Epics? They last our whole lives, change our perspectives, our thoughts, our very words, all altered for having read it. Epics have followers, those die-hard fans that talk about the books or quote them as though they were living in the story still.
This series is as Epic as Harry Potter. As Epic as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz or Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. They linger in our hearts. How many times do I say the words "muggle" or "down the rabbit hole" or "there's no place like home" in my average day? This series had done that to me: altered my vocabulary. Now I'll be adding "Stay to the lights" and "sidhe-seer" to my repertoire.
Five star, and then some. Simple as that.
