Random Bookwormy-ness

I love this picture. So beautiful. Looks like a watercolor to me. I love the colors, the fact that her dress is made of books, her face hidden by a book, and she is wearing black gloves and a fancy hat. Like she is on her way to see an opera in another time. It is just beautiful.

Today is random day. I didn't get much work done because I opened a book for a few minutes to take a break from my own...Well, let's just say those few minutes lasted all day.

This picture makes me laugh. Books, a comfy couch, cup of tea or coffee. Though, I prefer stretching across a bed when I read, or even across the floor on my stomach, this is pretty accurate. However, candles or twinkle lights need to be there when I read. I love reading in low lighting, makes the rest of the world feel like it isn't there. I use a string of cupcake lights across the iron bars on my bed when I read. Close the sun-blocking curtain, fluff the pillows, and sprawl slanted across the mattress on my belly. Sigh, wish I were in there right now with a book...

I NEVER wait that long. I have so many books going right now, I've even surprised myself at the number of towering books on my bedside table. Usually I have one book that is my main focus, possibly two. Then I have four or five I pick up when I need a different scene. Well, I'm actively reading four right now with seven others I've started and will continue when I've finished a few of these others. Sigh. So much to read, never the time.

Jensen Ackles, right? I'm most certain that is him. The necklace is a prop from Supernatural, his face is gorgeous...among other mouth-watering features...Ahem. Anyway. Sexy is reading. I MEAN READING IS SEXY! Though, both ways will work. He is sexy. He is reading. Where's a foolishly grinning emoticon when you need one?

I just like this picture. I posted this on Facebook yesterday, tagging my friend in it. We had been having a discussion about her OCD when it comes to organizing books. Her's have to be neat and alphabetized. Mine...Well, I used to at least arrange my books neatly on the shelves by order of preference. So, Harry Potter was all there in front, at the center of attention. Sharing the shelf with those were my Inkheart books, my one Gone novel by Michael Grant...All my favorites first, my least favorites at the bottom, in the back.
Sort of still how they are organized, but there's room on the shelves cause a lot of my books are stacked ten deep in two piles about to fall over on a little drawer organizer I use for socks and art supplies. I have books on my bedside table, books on my bed, a few sometimes stacked on the floor next to my bed. I can imagine my dream house looking like this set of stairs. Books stacked in piles up to your knees all over the floor, on every available surface. It will take me days to find that one book I really have a hankering to read.
Did I really just say hankering? I've lived here too long.
